What is Permanent Makeup? Many patients come in to see Dr. Husni voicing their concerns about facial features getting lost in the color of their skin. Permanent makeup is the perfect solution to help enhance your natural facial features by adding pigment to them and setting them apart from the rest of your complexion. Permanent makeup is also known as cosmetic tattooing. Permanent cosmetics are used to deposit color into the outermost layer of the skin, making it less invasive and less permanent than traditional tattooing. Patients may come in for permanent lipstick, permanent lip liner, permanent eyeliner, and eyebrow shading. Before undergoing this skin care procedure, patients will consult with our skin care specialists to discuss their desired outcomes and aftercare requirements.

What Can I Expect During my Permanent Makeup Treatment?
Dr. Husni or one of his expert team members will begin your permanent makeup session by applying a topical anesthetic to your desired treatment area. Although numbing cream or nerve blocks can be applied to help with any discomfort you may feel, most patients report experiencing some mild discomfort throughout their treatment. Your permanent makeup session will be similar to a tattooing session, in which pigment will be deposited into the surface of your desired treatment area using an electric needle applicator. Treatment sessions may last up to two hours. Sometimes, the tattoo coloring is not perfect after the first treatment session, and a touch-up session is required. Touch-up sessions should take place no sooner than four weeks after the initial session.
